Building this dream has been a journey to say the least. What started out as my fiancee's dream has quickly become my vision of a better life, future, and inderpendence. This journey has been marked by many small victories that mean everything.
This week, two moments reminded me how far we’ve come.
First, our new fridge arrived, intact, BIG SIGH OF RELIEF. The last one? Completely shattered. But seeing this one in place felt symbolic: we’re getting closer. Filling it with drinks (priceless)
Second, I introduced 2 people to their first cigar. They left smiling, more confident, already planning the next visit. During an impromptu private gathering, I realized that our vision is becoming more real. The conversations, the laughter, the energy? It felt like what I imagined the bar at Cheers felt like, "everyone knows your name." People didn’t want to leave. And that’s how I knew the relaxed, elevated vibe we dreamed of is actually happening.
Yes, I still have moments of doubt. But I push through, my partner is the real mastermind behind all of this and I am proud to be by his side. Our vision is clear, and the community is with us.
